As usual, we had our breakfast around 8am in the cafeteria
~breakfast (apple puff, cereal with milk, steamed potatoes, fried egg)~
After that, we headed to our first Korean language class.
Waited for everyone at the cafe and we walked together as some of them can't remember the directions to the class.
Class started at 9am and ended at 11am.
~us before entering our respective classes~
~our Korean language book~
Only me, Shamim and Amalina were from Edu fac, the rest were SUKSIS students from UM.
Our teacher is Yun Eun Mi seon sang nim and she fully uses Korean language to interact with us.
I was still ok because I had some previous knowledge about Korean language before, but when she goes into some deepe stuffs, I felt so lost.
We learnt about vowels, the way to pronounced it and the ways to write.
At this part especially the writing part, I felt really lost. LOL
Tho it was just a basic class, but it takes time for us to learn.
~us in the 2nd class~
Headed back to hostel after class and we had our lunch around 12 noon.
The next activity was at 1.30pm.
~lunch~
Pottery making day.
Headed to Hanok Village by bus with our volunteers.
Korean people are really very punctual, therefore, I try to get my UM kids to be on time for every single activities and classes.
~my group's volunteer (Jiwon, Ngoc, Zheng Ya)~
Reached Hanok Village 10 minutes later.
~the pottery shop~
The potteries were all made by the owner of the shop.
So amazing!
~clays and the things we need to use~
The clay was very cold but it didn't smell that bad.
I was so curious and I can't wait to make my pottery.
~us before starting the pottery~
A couple (husband and wife) taught us how to make the pottery.
He first explained about the clay we used and what it was made from, and he demonstrated for us the procedures for the making of pottery.
After that, it was time for us to make our own pottery.
Then, both the husband or wife will help us out by making our pottery look even better and painting it.
~me and my pottery~
After pottery making, we had free time.
Three of us (Grace Teng, Jiexi and Jinq Wen) wanted to walk around Hanok Village, therefore, we did not follow the bus back.
~walking in Hanok village~
Most of the buildings there looked like traditional buildings.
There were so many people walking in Hanok village.
From what I've observed, everyday, their streets are very lively as there are always people walking around.
~people wearing their traditional clothes~
Despite the hot weather, many people wearing their Hanbok and walking around the village.
They have many places to rent the Hanbok along Hanok Village.
~lotsa food shops too~
~souvenirs~
After walking in Hanok Village for some time, we took a taxi back to CBNU.
We told the taxi driver Chonbuk tae-hak-kyo =D
It was kinda hard to communicate but we tried our best with the knowledge that we have.
~back to CBNU~
Took a bath, had our dinner and lepak at our hostel downstairs for free wifi.
~dinner~
The weather at night is quite chilly.
Really loving the weather at night, but the afternoon's weather is really hot.
But whenever i sweat, I don't feel sticky as it dries up immediately.
~night view of our Chambit (hostel)~
There's a convenience store, a cafe where they sold good coffee, a western food place, ramen place and a stationary shop.
I love their convenience store coz it has so many things and my banana milk! So yummy.
We hangout outside the cafe for the free wifi...hehe
